We welcome player feedback

23 Sep 2023

Dear Clubs and Players,

We have started receiving responses to our 2023 Playing Survey and we are reaching out again to ensure we receive as much feedback as possible, to help us understand the views and opinions from our playing communities.

We would rally appreciate if this survey could be shared with all players within your club, perhaps through club and team Whatsapp groups – where they are set up (or internal club management/communication platforms).

Our questionnaire is appropriate for all active players over the age of 16 who played cricket this year. We would love strong representation across all genders, at different ages and experiences, covering all beliefs, cultural and ethnical backgrounds, and through all levels, leagues and divisions.

This is the first time we have reached out to players directly and we look forward to completing this process annually to help us improve the experience of recreational cricketers in Middlesex. The answers collected will assist Middlesex Cricket in developing and supporting programmes to improve standards across the game from inclusion, safeguarding, professionalism, performance, pathway progress and overall positive experiences.

The survey is live until late-September. It asks questions across 4 sections:

  1. You
  2. The cricket you play in
  3. Your 2023 experience and opinions
  4. The future and feedback

Cricket is a great game, with competitiveness, inclusivity and individuality built around team opportunity and club values. We want to help enhance this, but firstly, we need to understand your views.
